She began her career with a local family owned real estate and appraising company, wanting to get her appraiser's license. During this time, she sold a house to a friend and realized that she loved the people part of the business. Her love of people not only gives her great satisfaction in her job, it also directly impacts the way she does business. Her philosophy on selling homes is based on a belief that everyone is equal and deserves the same care and attention no matter the circumstance.
A move to Georgia started Jill down a winding career path that would lead her into a high-end real estate market in Atlanta, and eventually bring her back to Chattanooga. Shortly after her return to Chattanooga, Keller Williams opened an office in the area. The team atmosphere is an integral part of the success of Keller Williams offices, and a huge reason that Jill wanted to become a part of this company. Carlyn was raised on Signal Mountain, one of the most beautiful communities in the Tennessee Valley. She attended the Girls Preparatory School and continued her education at Auburn University. She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and a little sister to Phi Delta Theta.
Earning her degree in Family and Children Development from Auburn in 1981 allowed her to realize her dream of giving back to the people and city of Chattanooga. Upon returning home, she played a vital role in many volunteer organizations including the Fairyland Recreational Center which raised funds for a school playground and public baseball and soccer fields. She has raised three children with husband, Alan Voges Jr., the proprietor and pharmacist of Fairyland Pharmacy on Lookout Mountain.
Her knowledge of people led her to the field of marketing and a 25 year career at one of the most respected advertising agencies in Chattanooga. During this time she worked side by side with her soon-to-be partner Jill, a client who was also a friend and neighbor, and it became apparent that they had the same strong work ethic, a passion for people and a commitment to the utmost standard of professionalism.
Carlyn and Jill have worked together for over seven years now. Carlyn is a licensed real estate agent in Tennessee and Georgia and specializes in Listings and Marketing. No one is better able to handle the multitude of documents of a real estate transaction with ease and enable the clients to arrive at the closing table without a glitch than Carlyn.
